Michael A. Blamires, D.D.S.

Dentist at Canyon Ridge Dental

Thank you so much for the opportunity to help care for your smile! I grew up in Layton and graduated from Brigham Young University before attending dental school at the University of Iowa. After graduation, I served as a dentist in the Air Force and completed a residency program in general dentistry at David Grant Medical Center in California.

I have been practicing dentistry for 20 years and really enjoy my interaction with patients and the challenge of providing quality care in a gentle way. My wife, Rebecca, and I are parents of three great kids! We enjoy traveling, watching sporting events, and playing games together. In my spare time, I like to read and run long-distance races.

Office Manager

I was born and raised in Utah, I live less than 3 miles from the house I grew up in! I raised 2 amazing daughters with the help of my wonderful parents and they are both a big part of my life, along with my 3 grandchildren. We enjoy spending time together cooking, making crafts and having brunch!

After a 20 something year career in retail management I took about a year off after my store went out of business. Along the job search a friend of mine suggested Canyon Ridge to me and I started a brand new career! I brought absolutely NO knowledge of the dental world and the team here has helped me grow my skills so that now I can hold my own at the front desk!

I absolutely love people and talking to our patients is my favorite! When I am not working, I am procrastinating home improvement projects and planning vacations I can’t afford! My favorite place to be is on the Oregon coast, searching for agates and enjoying every sunset I can!

McKenzie Leigh

Dental Hygienist

I have worked at Canyon Ridge Dental since April of 2019. I have loved every minute of it! I graduated Weber State University with a Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene. I took a year off in 2018 when we adopted my son who had some health concerns, but couldn't be more excited to be here on Tuesdays.

When I'm not working we are gardening or playing as a family. We love to paddle board, go to farmers markets, or plan our next vacation. I love Disney as well and have gone more times than I can count!
